ProtectaTip was created after founder Aleks Aboudi experienced door-related finger injuries affecting all three of his children between approximately 8 months and 4 years of age. After years of searching for asolution and finding nothing that addressed the core hazard, ProtectaTip was developed to help prevent other children and families from experiencing the same pain.

ProtectaTip covers the hinge-side gap between the door and frame, eliminating access to the area where finger entrapment injuries occur. Once installed, ProtectaTip remains in place and provides continuousprotection every time the door opens and closes.

ProtectaTip has been engineered as a universal-fit solution designed to suit most standard doors.
